The current water demand for paddy irrigation in the Bernam River Basin is unable to match the unreliable streamflows in the river. This has resulted in problems with water allocations to paddy farmers. The present study aims to evaluate the impact of climate change on the hydrological flows in the Bernam River Basin. This is done by extending the SWAT model with a hydro-meteorological interface that allows rapid simulation of localized climate data from large scale climate models, and investigating future changes in flow patterns in the Bernam River Basin.
