The largest natural fresh water lake in the west and one of the cleanest in the world, Flathead Lake is a recreational wonder. Located in northwest Montana the lake is bordered by Glacier National Park and the Mission Mountains. It was formed by the Kerr Dam and is known for its crystal clear water, wildlife and majestic mountain scenery.
A visit to Whitefish or Flathead Valley wouldn’t be complete without experiencing a boating adventure on the lake. Boats for water skiing, scenic cruising and tubing can be rented at many lake marinas and private suppliers in nearby towns. If you prefer a human-powered water craft, kayak and canoe rentals are available from even more local guides or outfitters.
Flathead Lake Charters was established in 1979 by owner/guide Jeff Rach. Having fished the sandy bars, rocky shoreline and deep trenches of Flathead Lake for more than 40 years, he knows the feeding and migrating patterns of Lake Trout and Whitefish. He passed on his experience and expertise to long time friend and guide Todd Noble, who continues the tradition of guiding on Flathead Lake for both visitors and residents of northwest Montana.
